Worked (the writer Weston Boege ) with a customer on this bike who became a friend . Started with a 78 xs 650 that I had been planning on building. He wanted his first bike and I wanted to build another. So we got started talking about what he wanted and what kind of style and colors he wanted.
He wanted something that could be ridden, and not just something that sat there and looked cool. Made a custom seat wrapped in brown vinyl. Custom rear fender and custom battery box. Custom ignition plate and a few other one off parts.
Welded up a custom exhaust with some reverse megaphone mufflers on them. Made up one of my 1into2 intake manifolds with a Mikuni Roundslide on it.
The bike rips! Feels like you could take it off road, which is great for new england roads… haha…
